Flatter your figure, regardless of your shape or size, with these fashion tips.

Have you stuck with the same old fashion style for years because you don't know what new fashion style would help you look your best? Or worse yet, have you resigned yourself to just wearing sweats or jeans because you're a little overweight or wear a hard to fit size?

Help is here! These figure flattering fashion tips can help you look your best regardless of what size or shape your are.

A simple pair of high heeled shoes will make you appear taller and thinner.

Use 'color blocking' in your clothes choices. The area of your body you wish to draw attention away from is the area you should wear the darkest color on, then wear a lighter, brighter color on the body area you want the attention to go too. For example, if you are bottom heavy but like the way you look from the waist up, pair up a dark skirt or pants with a brighter color blouse to draw the eye upward and away from your bottom half.

A sparkly necklace and earrings will help achieve the same results, but if you don't like your chin or neck, don't draw attention to that area with loud jewelry.

If you want to camouflage a tummy or side 'love handles', you shouldn't wear any type of fabric that will cling to your body. A garment made from stiff fabric will camouflage bumps and bulges in the midriff area.

If you have an hourglass shape, emphasis your waist line with belts or wrap style dresses an choose pants with a slight flair at the bottom to balance out your curves from top to bottom.

Bottom heavy figures as mentioned before should wear dark colors on the bottom and wide legged pants and skirts or dress that are A-line to balance out your figure and draw the eye upward.

Top heavy figures should stay away from horizontal stripes and scooped style necklines that make the top portion of your body look even heavier. Choose a V neck top which will give the illusion of having a longer neck and wear loose fitting clothing on the bottom like wide legged pants and full skirts.

Middle heavy shapes can camouflage their stomach by wearing a well-fitting blazer. A proper fitting support bra will also help define your shape by creating a visual break between breasts and stomach.
