Shopping: Women's Favorite Pastime
Shopping is a very complex behavior that requires intricate understanding and entails more than mere assumptions. This article will give you an idea the different categories of shopping buffs.

Shopping is probably one of the favorite pastimes of the female species. Most ladies consider shopping as an outlet, a healing power called retail therapy. I can still recall how the ladies in my family would hurry to the mall like a kid let loose in a candy store, eager to pick up something new and trendy, while I grumbled endlessly as I helped them carry the bags and packages of their purchases. Sometimes I wonder if girls have a special kind of hormone particularly designed for shopping. In fact, if there are two things that men could never understand about women, it would be why they go to the rest room in groups and of course the greatest mystery ever is their love for shopping. I am not condemning all the gals for being a shopping buff, I just find it mysterious. I admit guys also have habits that are mysterious and also foolishly irritating, but I will leave that topic and will just discuss it on my future posts.

My interest in solving the mystery why women love to shop only led to disappointment. A simple question of “Why do you love to shop?” to my known shopping addict friends mostly yielded an “I can’t explain” answer. For them, shopping is a very complex behavior that requires intricate understanding and entails more than mere assumptions. But in general, shopping is an inborn talent for all women. But the level of their passion towards shopping varies. In the study made by psychology specialist Ms. Veronica Inoturan published in Mega Fashion Magazine, she classified women shoppers into three categories listed below:
Type A: The Speed Queens. According to Ms. Inoturan, these types of shoppers are loved by the shopping malls because they are not only interested in the merchandise but they actually buy it. These shoppers interchange the words “want” and “need”. For them, these two words have the same meaning. They are individuals who already mapped-out the layout of all the shopping malls in their area.

Type B: The Savy Gal Shoppers. These are shoppers that love to buy those mall goodies with gusto, and also love a good bargain according to Inoturan. Type B shoppers don’t pass up a great steal, yet, they also pay premium price when that chic pair of leather boots or custom-made jewelry set catches their eyes.

Type C. The Smart Gold Shoppers. According to our psychologist, these shoppers are not adventurous as compared to the previous categories. Most of the time, type C shoppers are incredibly busy people making it extremely difficult to find time to do shopping. Also, type C shoppers are women that are not so fond of walking around the malls and carrying loads of shopping bags. As such, these shoppers really think over what they buy before they rush their way to the shops. In short, they think before they shop and they buy items they only need.

Above all, shopping is a perfectly normal habit. In fact, most men also love shopping. Just keep in mind, spend your money wisely, and don’t spend beyond your means.
