Why you should quit smoking.
whatever people say, smoking does not give ny benefit for the body but health hazard that could lead to an early death.
Smoking is one of the worst causes of lung cancer leading to death all over the world. But despite the dangers of smoking countless people are still smoking. According to smokers, they feel good if they smoke. Some people smoke to relieve themselves of stress and tension. Some people feel better if they smoke while working. One man I know smokes two packs a day because he cannot work without cigarettes. To the younger generation, smoking is part of a trendy and stylish life. They feel in if they smoke with their friends. This is how they identify themselves as a group. They share a stick of cigarette and feel the stronger bond of being part of the group.
Whatever benefits some people claim while smoking, the dangers are still more important to reconsider. People who smoke are risking their life and the life of those near them who sniff the smoke of their cigarette. The smoke causes lung diseases and if the smoker does not stop, he could acquire lung cancer which sometimes causes death if not paid attention to. Smokers sometimes do not feel the bad effects of smoking until such time that it is too late to cure the disease they have acquired from smoking.
Smoking does not give the body any benefits but health hazards that make a smoker more prone of acquiring other diseases.
According to studies just 20 minutes after a smoker stops smoking, his body would begin a series of beneficial changes. The blood pressure drops to normal and so with the pulse rate. The temperature also of the hand and feet would become normal. This is an indication that smoking is not in any way good for the body but instead it makes the body parts mal-function.
Here are other facts that experts say about smoking:
After 8 hours of not smoking, the carbon monoxide level in the blood would drop to normal and the oxygen in the blood would increase to normal.
24 hours without cigarette decreases the chance of heart attack.
If the smoker doesn’t smoke for 48 hours, the nerve endings would start to grow and the ability to smell and taste is enhanced. It would also make walking easier.
If the smoker stops smoking for 2 to 3 weeks, circulation improves and the lung function increases up to 30 percent.
After quitting the vice for 1 to 9 months, coughing, sinus, congestion, fatigue, and shortness of breath decreases. The cilia will also grow again in lungs increasing the ability to handle mucus, clean the lungs and reduce infection.
One year of not smoking reduces to half the risk of coronary heart disease in a smoker.
You could go on smoking but if you see how smoking makes life hazardous, then you might as well stop smoking and make your life healthier and longer.
The more cigarettes you smoke, the more hazardous you are putting yourself into. And the longer you smoke the more your health will be in danger. A healthy life does not need any cigarette but healthy food in order to boost the immune system. You don’t need to smoke that stick of cigarette in order to go with the trend. And you don’t need cigarette to gain more friends. If you live a healthy life, your friends would look at you and follow you. And perhaps they will forget about smoking.
