Have you heard of Linwood Barclay?? No, I hadn't either and I went to school with the man! Makes you wish that you had paid more attention now doesn't it lol!

When I'm on vacation, I tend to go through books like there is no tomorrow. So, I thought that I would give you a few titles to check out. I think that you are going to like what I have found for you!

No Time for Good-bye by Linwood Barclay
I was a fan of Barclay long before he began to write books. He went to the same university as I did, and although he was there at the same time, we never crossed paths, but I did start reading his column in the Toronto Star! He was an amazing columnist! But back to "No Time for Good-bye! This is actually the first book by Linwood Barclay that I read!

It's the kind of story that you have probably thought of but never wrote. You have a fight with your parents, you storm off to bed and in the morning, there is no one in the house but you. Everyone has vanished! You are a teenager on your own!

Trust me... the minute you finish this book, you will be out looking for more by this writer!

Too Close to Home by Linwood Barclay
This story will keep you guessing right to the last page and trust me... never again will you forget to lock you door... not to mention open it late at night.

I'm in the middle of "Too Close to Home"  so I can't include any more by Linwood Barclay, so I listed three more that I have read. They were highly entertaining but have to admit, I can't wait to finish Too Close to Home so I can pick up another by this particular author!

Born in Fire by Nora Roberts
This is the first book in an amazing trilogy... which I love. I hate it when I get to the last page of a book and that's it... no more. So, we will be meeting three sisters. The first is Maggie Concannon, a feisty Irish glass blower who pretty much fights with everyone.

Born in Ice by Nora Roberts
Here we meet Brianna, the second sister, who likes nothing more than baking and tending her garden. And Brianna fights with no one. She's a sweetheart who opens up her home as a Bed and Breakfast which obviously leads to some interesting strangers crossing her path.

Born in Shame by Nora Roberts
And lastly we meet the American sister, no one knew about. Shannon definitely rocks the boat in this novel as she is a good mixture of both of her sisters and that's all I'm going to tell you. Okay, I have one more little tidbit. There is a mother thrown in for good measure who is not overly fond of her own two daughters, never mind Shannon that she didn't know existed. Firewords for sure!
