I am sure you have all heard of all the scams that involves Google adwords, blogs, affiliate marketing or MML. I have spent the better part of six years trying to earn money without spending too much. I have tried a lot of things and only one thing actually pays, writing.

Have you ever wanted to make money on the internet? If so then I am sure you have all heard of all the scams that involves Google adwords, blogs, affiliate marketing or MML. You can’t even do a Google search for “Make Money Online” without running into all the ads. With over 150 million webpages on that phrase alone, 90% of them will end up costing you more then they will earn you.

What Actually Earns
Sadly, in order to know the difference between a scam and a program that works all depends on what the task is that you are asked to complete. This could be said about anything, the harder the work the more you get paid. That’s true in real life and on the internet. If you see an ad that says you can make thousands of dollars a week on auto pilot, you can rest assured that it’s a scam. I have spent the better part of six years trying to earn money without spending too much. I have tried a lot of things and only one thing actually pays, writing.

Writing pays because the task is actually a real job. Editors, Journalists and authors all make a living from it and there is no reason why an average person with a high school diploma can’t either. You may not see the salary of a bestselling author but you will make some money. So let us talk about where you can write to earn some money.

Associated Content is a fantastic website that pays decent for a new writer. If you doubt you can write well enough to get accepted for any job, this is a great place to start. While they do have an editing team and will decline content if it’s in to bad of a shape, they will generally accept anything. The best aspect to writing on associated content is that you are allowed to write about anything under the sun. You can also submit your content to be purchased by associated content however, they will give you an offer and you have to choose if you want to accept it or not. You can also earn from getting page views and directing traffic to your articles.

Ehow is an extremely nice website to write for. You can generally earn more residual income writing for this site. You will only get paid if readers click on ads in your article. Ehow is moderately popular and Google indexes the articles pretty quick. If you know a little about SEO and keyword density, you can bring in quite a bit of income in a short amount of time.

Hub Pages is also an amazing site to write for. Hub Pages has a better page rank then both of the above websites. Writing for Hub Pages is more of a community project and if you fail to recognize the forums and don’t read other members articles your earnings will be severely lacking.  You earn money by, again, getting clicks on ads from the articles you write. However, Hub Pages alternates your adsense code with theirs.

Squidoo is the last site I recommend writing for. It’s generally easy to get the page indexed by Google and you earn from adsense and other forms of affiliate marketing. If you love affiliate marketing then this could be your top earner.  The sites above either limit the amount of affiliate links you can have in an article or prevent them altogether, Squidoo does not. You can go nuts and put in as many affiliate links as you want.
