In Need of Relaxation! Really!!

There are times when life just gets away from you and the time comes for some quiet time. Some of my ways are a bit odd, but they work for me!

1. Sitting with a good book. Choose a book that is strictly for fun. To be able to relax, you will want to lose yourself in the story so keep this in mind when you choose your next novel. Lately, I have loved thrillers and Linwood Barclay is an amazing writer!

2. Watching the birds at a feeder. We used an old picnic table one year and spread the bird seed across the entire table. It was great fun to watch the birds chase each other around the table.

3. I have thrown myself into writing a novel... not for anyone else but just for me. Will anyone else read it?? Probably not, I have no intention of submitting it to a publisher. This story is just for me and it's incredibly relaxing when you don't have to worry if something works or not. It's like day dreaming on paper!.

4. Take up a hobby that you can throw yourself into. And if that hasn't convinced you so far, consider the fact that you could whip up all of your Christmas gifts in one fair swoop!

5. Designate a special time to work on your journal. For me, it's just before I go to bed. It will make for great reading when I'm into my nineties lol...
