5 ideas for homemade Halloween costumes for older children, and teens. These costumes take no time, no money and very little effort.

Here are some very simple, homemade Halloween costumes for teens and older children. These costumes take no effort, no money and very little time.

 1. Men in Black – Black suit, hat and tie with a white shirt, and they can be men in black, bodyguards or spies. Add an ear piece or gun, and maybe an I.D. card to flash at people.

2. Waitress – Best for girls, but also boys who want to be funny. Very easy, give them an apron, a tray with some paper cups on and a note book to take down orders. Also give them a little waitress's cap. When we did this we got the local Coffee Bean to lend us an apron and give us the cups with the logo.

3. Baby – if you have a baby in the house then you may be able to use some of their things. Wrap a towel around the bottom area as a diaper. Buy a sweet on a string that looks like a pacifier, or use a real one. Have him or her wear a bonnet of some kind, and carry a teddy bear!

4. Indian – Perhaps the easiest costume, but it takes a lack of modesty! Simply wrap an old sheet around the private area – like a diaper, and another piece of sheet around the head like a turban, and you are done!

5. A mother on Halloween – How about dressing as one of those eager, over protective moms that wait at the door with a tray full of treats. This is best for boys to dress up, as they can ad fake breasts, and dress up in women's clothes, and then carry a tray of goodies and constantly offer them to people!
