Have Younger Skin
Do you feel like your skin has lost its luster? Younger looking skin has a glow that is generally not present or begins to disappear in some women at a relatively youthful age.
Here are some ideas to help maintain the appearance of youth.
- If you are young and can still avoid the damage, please, stay out of the sun and tanning beds! It is the number one cause of aging. Avoid it like the plague. If you want a tan get a self tanner, or spray on.
- Smoking is the second fastest way you can age your skin. It depletes the body of essential nutrients and causes aging of all organs including the skin. It also causes wrinkling due to the repetitive facial motions.
- Drink alcohol in moderation, if at all.
- Speaking of vitamins, take a multivitamin. Particularly vitamins E and B complex are beneficial for aging skin and vitamin C helps collagen production. Biotin is also helpful for skin and hair. Lecithin helps elasticity.
- Use fish oil and omega oil supplements. Also take essential amino acids.
- Drink lots of fluids including water for hydration.
- Eat fruits for hydration.
- Blueberries in particular have anti-aging properties.
- Eat yogurt. It also contains properties that work at a cellular level to maintain a youthful appearance.
- Eat Salmon. It contains essential oils that help the skin stay supple.
- Pomegranate fruit or juice contains anti-aging components.
- Use olive oil under the eyes.
- Have a good skin care routine which should include twice a day cleansing with a mild cleanser to remove bacteria. Twice a week for dry skin with a facial and body scrub.
- Use a moisturizing facial once a week.
- Use a facial peel once a month.
- Use a daily moisturizer including light moisturizer with sunscreen and antioxidants for day, and a heavier night cream with antioxidants and salicylic and/or hydroxyl acids.
- Massage the face daily when cleansing. Use circular upward motions, especially around eyes.
- Treat skin very gently.
- Use sea salts and body scrub for a deeper cleansing and exfoliation.
- Apply a full body mask once a month.
- Apply body lotion daily.
- Get a body wrap if possible.
- Exercise at least a few times a week for younger skin.
- Eat plenty of green leafy vegetables.
- Stay away from stress as much as possible.
- Meditate or do yoga.
- Keep your face relaxed.
- Have a good attitude. Being optimistic and happy will always make you appear younger.
