Zodiac signs can be a useful tool to understand ourselves and others around us better. They can also be useful in determining compatibility with potential partners.

Significance:

Within the zodiac signs, we are born under our ruling planet, sun sign, moon sign, and house. When you combine all of this information together, you have a complete picture of who you are or who someone else is.

Identification:

Identifying your zodiac sun sign is based on the day and month of birth. The year is not needed because the sun sign relates to a fixed time within each month. However, your moon sign is based on the month, day and year because the moon moves through the signs everyday and its place at the time of your birth determines which moon sign you're born under.

Features:

Each zodiac sign has personality qualities that is distinct to it. The signs also indicate physical features, likes and dislikes, and signs that are more compatible with you than others.

Considerations:

Each zodiac sign has an element attached to it, either earth, wind, fire or water. When determining compatibility, having the same element will mean two people are compatible, but not romantically. Romantic compatibility is based on complementary elements. For example, fire is most compatible with air and earth is most compatible with water.

Misconceptions:

Zodiac signs cannot tell you everything about yourself or someone else, and not all zodiac predictions are accurate. The zodiac is another tool to teach you more about yourself and others and to gain a deeper understanding of the world around you.
