Tea is the world's most favourite drink. Not only does tea taste great, it's also good for your health.

Tea. Health benefits for youTea comes from the leaves of Camellia sinensis, containing a plethora of antioxidants.These are polyphenols, flavonoids, and catechins. These fight the free radicals in our bodies which are causing damage to our cells.

Good For teeth

Tea also contains fluoride which helps prevent bad breath, kills bacteria and prevents plaque.

Tea versus Coffee

Tea has been shown to have less caffeine than coffee.Caffeine is a stimulant, so if you have headaches, or have problems sleeping, tea is the way to go.

Japanese study finds that green tea lowers risk of heart disease.The phenols found in tea, prevents the oxidation of cholesterol, which hardens arteries.Green tea is the most talk about tea in health circles, because studies have found a growing list of health benefits, including:

  • rheumatoid arthritis.Tea helps strengthen bones.
  • Boosts immune system. Higuer immune activity found in blood of those who drank tea as oppose to those who didn't.

Green tea is also good at increasing your metabolism.This helps the body burn more calories, which is great for losing weight.A lot of supplements on the market are including green tea, because of this effect.

  • White tea has the higuest antioxidant content of all teas.It's the least processed one, along with green tea.
  • Green tea has more antioxidants than black tea, because it's less processed.
  • Instant teas have lower health benefits than normal teas.
  • All teas have to some degree, health benefits in their own merit.
  • Make tea with boiling water, and let brew for maximum benefit.
  • I find tea relaxing in the evening, as it calms the nerves of the day.
