A digital converter box is needed for TV's without a digital tuner to receive television stations through an antenna. Connecting one of these boxes is easy. Here's how.

The first step in how to hook up a digital converter box is....

Once you have a uhf/vhf television antenna and digital converter box you should  do the following..
On the back of a Digital converter box there is a jack (input) which is labeled "Antenna In". Take the end of the cable which is coming out of the antenna and screw it in to this "Antenna in" jack input. This will connect your uhf/vhf television antenna to your digital converter box. Now signals are being brought to your box but they now need to be brought to your television so you can view them.

The second step in how to hook up a digital converter box is as follows...

On the back of a digital converter box there is also a jack (output) that says "TV OUT" . Take the end of your 2nd cable and screw it in to this "tv out" jack connection. This will take your converted signals out of your digital box and send them to your television so you  can view your channels which are received through your antenna in your area.

The third and final step in how to hook up a digital converter box is as follows...

Now that your Antenna is hooked up to the digital converter box, your digital converter box needs to be hooked up to your television set. Take the end of the cable coming from the (TV Out)jack and plug it into the back of your TV where it says "antenna in" . It may say "cable in"
