A List of Hidden Sugars

Dec 23rd, 2008 by Quickstar

Packaged goods, processed foods, filled with poison (sugar) for the body.

There are alternatives to your basic table sugar and sweetenters.

You can use honey and or agave but the best is stevia (I will disscuss stevia more in a later article). It is best not to use too much of any sugary products when you first quit the sugar habit. You need time for your body to detox from the adverse effects the sugar left in you. And to tame your cravings by eliminating it.

Read your lables, there are hidden sugars everywhere. I will list many of the hidden sugars that have been proven to cause disease and cell malfunction leading to inflammation which in turn leads to certain death.

  • Sugars improve the shelf life and flavor of processed food, they are added to most processed foods.

Here is a list of the many names for sugar some of them obvious and some not so:

  • barley malt
  • beet sugar
  • brown rice syrup
  • brown sugar
  • cane sugar
  • confectioner's sugar
  • corn syrup
  • dextrose
  • evaporated can juice
  • fructose
  • fruit juice concentrate
  • fruit juices
  • glucose
  • high-fructose corn syrup
  • honey
  • malt syrup
  • maltodrextrin
  • maltose
  • maple syrup
  • molasses
  • organic sugar
  • raw sugar
  • sugar
  • sugar cane syrup
  • turbinado sugar

The list goes on,  you can usually  find at least one of these on packages and processed foods.

In the beggining it can be overwhelming. Start by taking things out of your cupboard and reading what goes into your body. Become an advocate for your own well being and good health, establish preventive medicine, and be active in the wellness of your body.
