The celebration og Christmas is a joyous one---for most!

Christmas without Santa--what a horrible thought. No Bells, no sleigh, no colorfully wrapped presents underneath the tree--for that matter---no tree. What a joyous occasion this time of the year brings. Shopping at the Mall, browsing through the items that we feel our children, or our childrens children will appreciate, not to mention the other loved ones in our life. Yes, this is truly a time of giving, and showing our love for our family. But what about the less fortunate ones? How does this festive time of the year affect them?

As we experience the Joy of giving and the happiness of receiving, what are the reactions of those who can do nothing but sit back and watch as we celebrate the meaning of Christmas? Their is a great number of people in society whom are Less-Fortunate than other. The reasons for this may vary greatly. When and how often, does the child of a less fortunate parent begin to question the relevence of this Holy Day--due to fact that he or she can only witness this celebration. When does this child start to doubt the very "Core"--purpose of Christmas, along with doubting the belief in the "ONE" this Holiday represents.

As Christians, We must realize that the memories of a child will "outway" the teachings of that child. As we preach about the greatness of Jesus, it is hard for that child living in poverty to accept the little that He or She has, and praise an entity (That they cannot see) for the little that they have. The "Unfortunate" tend to "Not Pay Attention" to such a Holiday as Christmas, since they cannot join in the festivity. I know--Christmas is not about gifts--It's about Christ--Really?  I see no scriptures, no references to the Bilble when I go shopping--I see Price tags!

As we enjoy our Christmas--the unwrapping of gifts, the fellowship, the gathering of our family's, let's remember the less fortunate. There are several programs avaliable, where you can give gifts to the needy--isn't that what it truly is about? Take advantage of an opportunity to display the love, and giving that so many preach about. Take the time to celebrate Christmas and give to those in need--Jesus Would!
