Sky hd review

After buying a Panasonic hd tv, the foremost thing on my head was how long do I  have to wait to get sky high def put in. I'd already experienced high definition movies via my apple tv  and was really taken, but I could not keep paying for rented movies. What I  really desired is sky, I wanted all the movies and I wanted football in high def. I had read umpteen sky hd review that I had to just order the dam thing.

How did I order sky high definition

Well I got on-line and signed up, it took around ten mins and was fairly  effortless, most of my time was spent combining up the packs, removing and adding - did I  genuinely need sky arts. I opted for the sky hd box, the high-def bundle and the film pack.  It was quite pricey I would now find myself paying just under sixty pounds per  month but would have everything I wanted in high definition. It took a couple of weeks to get  the whole thing put in, I live in flats and already have a shared dish, so the  sky install was just some bloke giving me the sky high-def box, and installing it. I  could have done this myself, but it was this chaps problem. It took him about five mins,  afterwards which he gave me a fast summing up on the features. I just needed him to get out  so I could play with my new toy.

How good is the high definition picture
The high definition picture quality is in a word staggering. The easiest way I can describe it? well,  I wear spectacles the images on a normal tv is like seeing without my glasses,  hazy, lack of detail etc. When you experience a high def picture is like wearing the glasses  so much more detail, strong you start to see things that you would never find on the  old image. I found myself considering what would the matrix look like in hd, before  I knew it I was watching all my favorite films again in high def.

Other benefits of sky high definition

Well the other major benefit from my point of view is the sound quality. Sky pumps  out dolby digital 5.1 surround sound. So, like me, if you have a 5.1 system, I  have a sony, can't recall the model but it cost a lot, then the sound is  stunning.
The remote record feature is also a outstanding feature. It basically allows you to  visit the sky website, view the telly schedule, and record. So if you are at work you  can browse the schedule and record at your lesiure, when you get home everything  will be sitting inside your sky high-def box ready to view.

Free broadband - I was a little dubious about the free broadband. I was with bt,  and they had the worst service. I was lucky if I got 1mb download speed, despite  many telephone calls they never resolved it. When you call bt youre calls are sent to  india, where despite their best efforts the staff are just reading from a script.  I could never understand what they were saying and got really disappointed. So  thanks to bt, I determined to choose for the sky broadband and try and save a bit of  cash, I was paying bt 20 pounds for the joy of their poor service.

I got the sky hd box working first, and finally got the free broadband a couple  of weeks later, as bt were slow in making things happen their end. I was dreading  trying the net as I thought it would be slower than bt. To my surprise the  connection was a full 2mb, I know this is not the fastest but for me I was jumping  with joy.
