Boxing fans from around the world are now talking about a Pacquiao-Mayweather match early next year. Mayweather has just won over Juan Manuel Marquez of Mexico while Pacquiao has yet to dispose of Miguel Cotto in their November 14 match in Las Vegas.

The much talked-about boxing match between Filipino boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao and undefeated welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather, Jr. can still happen if both parties agree on the sharing of the fight purse and weight issues by both boxers. Boxing fans from around the world are now talking about a Pacquiao-Mayweather match as a result of Floyd's impressive showing over Juan Manuel Marquez which ended in a unanimous decision in favor of the undefeated champion. Pacquiao has to dispose of Miguel Cotton first in the November 14 match which will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Pacquiao is favored to win over the popular Puerto Rican champion. Bob Arum, President of Top Rank Promotions, and promoter of Paqquiao said 'he would rather see himself promoting a fight between Shane Mosley against the winner of the Manny Pacquiao-Miguel Cotto showdown on Nov. 14.' Philstar.com reports:
Arum, the maker of great fights, has described Mayweather, who insists that he’s still the best out there after coming out of a long retirement to beat a smaller Juan Manuel Marquez, as “delusional.” He said Mayweather can’t even beat Mosley, Cotto or Pacquiao, and the undefeated ex-pound-for-pound champion is out of his mind to think of getting 60 percent of the purse if he gets to fight the Filipino superstar.
'“If I start hearing 60-40 (from Mayweather) that just tells me to hang up and move on to the next guy,” Arum was quoted as saying. The popular Filipino boxer is currently training in Baguio City, Philippines for his November 14 date with Miguel Cotto in Las Vegas, Nevada.
