Tips on How to Draw Cartoons of People Quickly
There are numerous methods to draw cartoons. This short little guide will help you draw cartoons of people quickly.
Begin by drawing the head or face of the person you wish to draw. Create a nice little circle sketch that will be the head. Create big round eyes, and fill in the pupils. Draw some ears and a nose if you like.
The next step is to draw the body of your subject. Decide whether you want them to be skinny or fat, and how they should appear. For beginners just use the head and make an “8” shape. This will give you a nice head and body to start out with.
The next step to draw cartoons of people quickly is to add ligaments. Your cartoon figure needs some legs, some arms, and whatever else you think your cartoon is deserving of. To keep things simplistic just draw elongated ovals for all appendages.
The next step is clothing (you don’t want to be known for drawing naked cartoon people, after all). Add a simple t-shirt and shorts to your cartoon person. If you are feelings especially brave you might add a logo to your t-shirt or pockets to your jeans. Don't forget to add something for feet, just some simple sneakers will do.
The final step to draw cartoons of people quickly is to add some unique features. Every cartoon has something that sets them apart from your other cartoon creations—give this cartoon a nice head of hair, an interesting hat, or perhaps some nice shoes.
