Chicken with fresh cabbage

Very delicious dish which is very easy for preparation

This recipe is not difficult for preparation. It serves 4-5. The time for preparing it is about an hour and 50 minutes. The dish is very delicious because of the using of the fresh cabbage.

Ingredients:

1 kg chicken

Fresh cabbage about 2 kg

500 gr tomatoes

200 gr carrots

150 gr oil

Parsley

Red pepper powder

Salt to taste

Method of preparation:

First you have to chop the chicken into small pieces. Then you have to salt these pieces to taste and place them into a frying pan full with oil. After 5 minutes frying you can add some water and continue stewing the chicken pieces.  Meanwhile you can wash the carrots and finely chop them to be prepared for later use. Wash the parsley and chop it, too.  The cabbage should be also cut into small pieces. After 20-30 minutes of stewing of the chicken remove the chicken pieces from the pan and place into the same pan the cabbage pieces. Add some water and cook for about 20 minutes. Add some salt and then place the carrot pieces. After 10 minutes add the red pepper powder and stir for 2-3 minutes. During the cooking of the cabbage prepare the tomatoes. Wash them and peel them. Next you have to cut them into small pieces. Add the chicken pieces and the tomato pieces and continue cooking. You can check if the salt is enough. If it is not, add some more. 10 minutes before removing the dish from the oven sprinkle the finely chopped parsley. Enjoy this delicious dish with baked loaves of bread!
