Websites are imperative to all businesses but having an easy to remember and catchy name is best!

Choosing a domain name?

Catchy, short and simple domain names are best. When choosing one, use words that are easy to spell and fairly common. I own over 10 domains , with 4  active websites  and some redirects and I have learne that the simpler, the better. The catchier and easier to remember, the better.

Don't choose 2 words together that inadvertantly make a new word...for example in one of mine is said "candles" and "now"and the s on the end of candles with the now made it look like "snow" ....no good.

Also hyphens can rank on search engines but people do forget to type them in and may miss your site.
Better a simple one ..with no hyphens if you can

mMy newest one is StreamlinedSuccess -fairly short and easy to read no? Plus ussing 2 ofthe sames  letter,s in my case "S", can be  quite easy to remember and roll off the tounge with ease

It's also GREAT to use one that has your words for searches in the title...one of my candle ones is
CandleBusinessZone
So anyone typing in "candle business" may get to my site and that is what I want.

If you own a jeans tore, try to have "jeans" in yoru domain name. If you sell  predominately clocks, try to have "clocks" in the name not just "Billsfamilystore.com"

At only $10 a year, it's good to grab some names you may use in the future and start building some sites or re-direct to a longer site name or blog. Get them now! Dot coms  are still the most popular follwed by dot nets. In 10 years, though, who knows. So go with your gut on that too
