How to upgrade or update Magic Jack Part 2

Instructions

1- Take a deep breath if you have been working on fixing your magic jack for a while. This is the second part of updating your magic jack. Make sure you have done part one first.

2- Let's get started! Go to http://upgrades.magicjack/upgrade/upgrade.exe and run it by clicking run.

3- Go to your start menu, in the lower left hand corner of your computer screen. click start                                            (a grey box with options should pop up.)

4- RIGHT click on My Computer- select properties

5- Click the advanced tab at the top of the box

6- Click advanced tab (different than the above step)- Look for processor scheduling

7- Check the round button called background services- Click apply - click OK

8- On your Magic Jack black box  ( The one that pops up on your desk top when the phone rings )                              Click Menu at the top of the box- click Advanced users - click restart

9-Give it a few minutes to reset. Try making a phone call.

10- Magic jack  phones are not perfect but they are very cheap. I still have a few bugs on my personal magic jack but after this update it seems to be working better. You may never really get it to be completely predicable. If you are still having problems it might be something outside of the magic jack program. I have found that slow, lite or less internet can cause it to run very poorly. Having high speed internet can help tremendously. Good luck with your update.
