Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay Leaves Dancing with the Stars

If you watched "Dancing with the Stars" tonight, you know that former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay left "Dancing with the Stars."

If you watched the "Dancing with the Stars" results show tonight, you knw it was full of surprises. One of the biggest surprises was the announcement that former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay left "Dancing with the Stars."

DeLay burst on the "Dancing with the Stars" scene performing an enthusastic dance to the music of "Wild Thing." His scores were low each week, but the voters kept him on and DeLay began to earn the judges' repect. Viewers were left in suspense during last night's show as to whether or not Tom DeLay would dance on the show or not. His slot was saved until almost the end of the show when it was revealed DeLay would dance with stress fractures in both feet - fractures that require him to wear braces off the dance floor.

DeLay took the floor with partner Cheryl Burke and danced a passable Samba, even with both feet injured. DeLay said he made it through the pain on adrenallne. However, DeLay was in substantial pain afterward and felt like he could no longer practice as much as was needed and that he owed Cheryl Burke more than that (See Tom DeLay leaves Dancing with the Stars; safe but injured, DeLay announces DWTS departure.)
