Easy Halloween Food Ideas
A list of easy to make Halloween treats.
With Halloween just around the corner, enthusiastic foodies everywhere are planning menus full of ghastly dishes and ghoulish treats in preparation for the big day. But you don't have to be an overly creative food connoisseur to get in on all the Halloween fun. All you really need is the inclination and a few ideas to steer you in the right direction.
To help you on your way, here is a list of fun, easy to make Halloween dishes and treats.
A Halloween staple, Tootsie Rolls have been around since 1896. But instead of buying them from the store like you do every year, why not make your own?
Another old Halloween favorite is the candy apple. The mere thought of it evokes images of trick-or-treating, and children everywhere delight in something so healthy having been turned into something so delicious.
'Tis the season to be spooky. So why not serve up a fun cake as an after dinner dessert?
Halloween themed cakes can be as simple or as elaborate as you want them to be. As long as it screams Halloween in some fashion, you're fine.
With some milk, sugar, pumpkin and your choice flavoring, macabre milkshakes are just a blender away.
These pancakes are made in the traditional way, but with a seasonal twist - pumpkin is added to the mix. A perfect way to start the big day.
This one is sure to be a hit with the kids. Simply melt the desired amount of cheez whiz and add green food coloring. Then you dip the ends of pretzel sticks into the mixture and let cool before serving.
By using the right toppings, it's only too easy to make small pizzas with spooky faces.
Who doesn't love worms in their burger? By mixing mung bean sprouts in with your meat, you get (you guessed it!) worms.
More gross than spooky, this appetizer is Halloweenish nonetheless. You'll need cherry tomatoes, which you will core and then fill with cream cheese. Use your imagination
These things are great, and they're easy to make.
First you boil your eggs. Once done, set aside and let cool. Then you remove the shells and cut the eggs in half, removing the yolks. The remaining holes are then filled with cream cheese. Green olives (with pimentos facing up) are then pressed into the cream cheese, making the whole thing look like a spooky eyeball.
These are just a few of the nearly countless Halloween recipes out there. As you can see, most are simple and made from common household ingredients. So roll up your sleeves and start rolling out eyeballs!
