The Earth of Love

Verse about a love unmovable, unshakeable - like this mighty mother earth

Rooted into the earth you and I

Deep down our tendrils twine together

Hidden under the warm ground

Rich soil brings bounty

Our combined efforts bring growth

Water falls and our tips drink up the drops

Together we find our own fecundity as red as this sweet full loam

You touch me as warm as the earth

Earthly delights fed by the growth

Everything you do for me

Nourishes and feeds our pact

The Earth survived eons

Our hearts the same

Everything and all that I find in you

Every touch, whisper, thought, deed

Fills me with the power of the loam

Sand, dust the parts that blow

Recover and cover our coupling

Mingling in the ground are our desires

Feeding plants of thoughts and feelings

No one can uproot us - rip away the ground

Tear us down

We are rooted into the planet

Rooted together unbound

All the time

The Earth spins

Undetectable like the subtlety of our pairing

Nothing - no great shaking

Ripping asunder and breaking apart

No, what we share is as sacred as holy ground

Ashes, grains and the carrying of seeds,

Only add to us and all we represent

Rising seas, slow attrition,

Continental shifts with tectonic moves

Escarpments and great granite

Mountains and peaks like moments speaks

These allegories spring to my heart

We I think of you, me and the feelings that we hold

All earthquakes, all tsunamis great change over millions of years

The firmament and the sky

Cannot humble our mighty love

A love rooted square into this Earth.
