Understanding The Trinity Theology - Simplifying Christianity Series

This article uses three non-religious examples to explain how The Father, The Son & The Holy Spirit are each individual yet the same One person.

WATER - Water as a fluid is a LIQUID. Water as ice is a SOLID. Water boiled is a GAS. Scientifically speaking all three are categorically different & separate. Despite that fact all three still remain "Water".

TITLES - Think of yourself for a moment. Lets say your name is Bruce. Lets say you have a daughter. Lets say you have a job. Lets say your married. Lets say you have parents. Lets say you have an uncle. And let say that you are all of these things all at once. Your man, your a dad, your an employee, your a husband, your a son & your a nephew. BUT your still Bruce. Different titles for different task & duties & rolls but always the same person. Like a tree with many branches yes the same tree.

BODY - The arms are not the legs. The legs are not the the feel. The hands are not the toes any more than the eyes are to the teeth. The heart is not the liver. The spinal cord is not the lungs any more than the blood vessels are the bones. Each part, each organ & each system from the circulatory to the the nervous operate independent of each other yet collectively of one another. Many parts. Many systems under One Head forming One body.

People always ask me "How can they all be the same person?" or "How can God be Jesus or Jesus The Holy Spirit?" I simply say to them "The question isn't how can He? The question is how Can't he be?" "After all He is He is God." God can do all things. What people need to realize is that when you look through eyes of this flesh, none of it makes sense but when you look at through the eyes of the Spirit then it is all absolutely clear.

In the New Thought philosophy, we often think of the Trilogy as Mind (God), Body (Son) and Soul/Spirit (Holy Ghost). A nice article explaining how parts of the One are also One. 5*

Some of your illustrations for the Trinity may be helpful, though obviously every illustration falls short of pointing us to the full truth. (I guess that's a problem only if one overemphasizes the illustrations). However, I believe there is one major mistake in your article (or at least, the article as it stands can lead to a misunderstanding). You wrote: "How can they all be the same person?". But the doctrine of the Trinity teaches that the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are not the same person. They are three persons who are of one essence. One God exists as three persons.
