Putting puzzles together can a be an enjoyable experience and you don't have to have a brain like a computer to be good at it. Some enjoy the time it takes to assemble them and some like the feeling of accomplishment when they are finished. With a few simple steps you can also have that feeling of accomplishment.

tep 1

Naturally you must first select a puzzle. Choose a puzzle that you would enjoy to see finished. For example if you like dogs, then get a dog puzzle. There's nothing like working on a puzzle for 4 hours only to have the finished product be a picture of a black square. There are puzzles out there that are black squares.

  • Step 2

Once you have your puzzle you need to begin by searching through the box to find all the edge pieces. Make sure you find the four corner pieces. Once you have the four corners and all the edge pieces you can find begin assembling the edge.

  • Step 3

Once you have the edge assembled you can have a feel for how big the puzzle will be on your table.

Now you should begin to sort puzzle pieces by colors. If you make little piles of like colored pieces assembling these areas on the puzzle will go much quicker.

You should also set inside the border pieces with very distinguishable features. For example eyes, hands, faces, cars. By setting these pieces more or less where they are in the picture inside your assembled puzzle edge you can have points of reference for your other pieces.

  • Step 4

Now the rest is pretty straight forward. Match up as many identifiable pieces on the picture with the puzzle so far. It's best if you start from the edge and work your way in and link up with the pieces that you placed inside the edge earlier.

So next time your sitting at yours or a friend's house and someone breaks out a puzzle you can use this strategy.
