Stress, life's greatest enemy, is examined indepth from the perspective of living with it---with ways of dealing with it.

One of the best ways to cope with stress is to simply walk away from a stressful situation, a very necessary "time-out" for people in situations like that. Many people do not necessarily walk away from stressful situations. Or if they do, they just go to re-equip and reload. Walking away from a stressful situation like an argument with a family member, a friend, or whomever else goes a long way towards defusing a stressful situation by freshening the perspective and calming the rhetoric. It doesn't necessarily mean backing down to the other side. But during the time-out, it may help the other side and you to reach a mutual solution because the anger curve and therefore the stress has gone down considerably.

We are human beings, sometimes ruled by our primal, emotional urges, and with those urges can create stressful situations. But stress is everywhere in the sometimes chaotic medley known as earth. Many people become engrossed in the stress of their everyday lives, impacting on their health and longevity. Bills, debts, problems with the kids, the in-laws, job pressures, etc. can have a devastating impact on people's health. Walking away can't help us cope with all of the problems of everyday stresses, but in the end it gives people a chance to not only freshen the perspective, but to take a deep breath and smell the roses. Blood pressure and heart rate goes down, immune system becomes stronger as more calmer, normaler thoughts start to enter our mind.

Life can be hard at times, and stress can be right in our faces. But even going to your health club, running, bicycling, or swimming can take the edge off your everyday stresses. Doing something positive releases healthy endorphens into your blood stream, making you feel immensely good. Sometimes breaking off from our normal routine to just walk through the park and absorb the sights, smells and sounds of mother nature can help us cope. Sitting by a serene cluster of trees and other flora and fauna can be such a tonic for the woes brought on by stresses.

It's so amazing on how many little, everyday things we can do to alleviate our stresses. Immersing one's self into a more calming, kinder, more benevolent situation is always so good. But trying to help prevent stressful situations can prevent a lot of them from happening in the first place-but can never completely. Getting your life more organized helps. Not putting off things to another day until you are buried in the problems they generate helps in volumes. Also, not being so sensitive or critical of events and people in your life helps prevent stresses from happening.

Stress is going to happen whether we want it or not. It's unaviodable. The thing is to be able to find a more serene realm to escape from its more tasking and harmful rigors, trying to be more proactive in dealing with the stressful situations in the first place. For those facing little or no stress, they should always find a little serene place in the park to always be able to see the world in a better, more opportunistic way.
