For decades the horror genre has been dominated by several big time characters. Now the rumors indicate that perhaps they could face each other here soon to fans across the country. I’m talking about Jason Vorhees vs Michael Myers the two stalking unstoppable killing machines. With the box office success of Freddy vs Jason the studios are looking for ways to get more movie characters on the same films. There are even talks about a Chucky vs Leprechaun movie down the road.

So what would be the storyline in a possible Jason Vorhees vs Michael Myers movie? I have heard rumors about Freddy bringing Michael Myers to Camp Crystal Lake to take revenge against Jason. That would be an easy one to use but many fans would scoff at that idea. But in all honesty I don’t know how they would write to get Michael Myers away from Haddonfield and Jason Vorhees away from Camp Crystal Lake without an outside influence.

Who would have the edge in Jason Vorhees vs Michael Myers? That is the draw that would get fans to the movies to watch the film. You would have drunks in bars across the country arguing about which slasher would destroy the other one and what will be the final outcome. That is why this movie will be able to earn some box office magic even in such a bad economy.

Let’s take a look at both sides of the Jason Vorhees vs Michael Myers matchup. In one corner there is the lumbering unstoppable force of nature that everyone simply knows as Jason. He died as a boy in a lake when camp counselors weren’t watching the children. His mother went on a rampage killing off the counselors in revenge until meeting her own doom. Ever since Jason has picked up where his mother left off killing teenagers and everyone else that gets in his way. He has been shot, hung, blown up and electrocuted and still keeps coming back for more carnage.

Then in the other corner there is the serial killer Michael Myers. While he isn’t quite as unstoppable as Jason he is just as deadly and persistent. In the past he has been shot numerous times, stabbed, hung, electrocuted and blown up and came back every time as well. But the interesting thing here is that Michael Myers is smarter and more calculated which would be in his favor.

One final thing to keep in mind with Jason Vorhees vs Michael Myers is the means of combat. I’m talking about the weapons and if they use their standard weaponry then obviously Jason is gonna have an advantage with the machete against a butcher knife.
