Knowing when to wear a certain color to your advantage can have some very good results as when knowing when not to wear certain colors will too.   All colors have positive attributes and negative ones as well.  Using them to your advantage can help you better achieve your goals in life. This guide will help you choose good and bad times to wear purple and tones that are similar.  The colors included in this guide range from light periwinkle hues to dark rich plum tones.  The colors not included are the purples with too much red in them such as violet or fuchsia tones.

Each color has its positive attributes; purple is an imaginative color.  It is also a very intuitive color which may help you look more intelligent when worn properly.  Wear purpled toned clothing in situations in which you need a boost of confidence.  Test days are a good days in which to wear purple clothes. Purple toned clothing is great when you need to speak to a large group of people all at the same time.  It can help you have the confidence you need as well as make you appear to be confident in the eyes of those that you are speaking to.  Purple is a great color to wear when going out in the evening.  It has a tendency to liven up your spirits and make others view you as lively.  Darker tones of purple can add a bit of mystery to your look as well which is great for the evening.

Unfortunately each color has its negative attributes as well.  When worn in the wrong situations purple can make you seem immature and impractical.  If you are in a giddy type of mood do not wear this color.  It may also give people the feeling that you are weird.  Avoid wearing purple toned clothing when you are depressed.  The color will only make your condition worse as it really doesn’t provoke motivation or energy and may provoke thoughts you don’t want.  Also avoid wearing purple toned clothing, especially dark hues, when in a management position.  You may end up looking as though you are too young to handle your job.  Also the people below you will feel like your strange and not respond very well to you.  Respect in the work place is key when you are in a management position.
