This guide will help you choose good and bad times to wear black clothing.

Knowing when to wear a certain color to your advantage can have some very good results as when knowing when not to wear certain colors will too.   All colors have positive attributes and negative ones as well.  Using them to your advantage can help you better achieve your goals in life. This guide will help you choose good and bad times to wear black clothing.  Black is pretty much the absence of color just as is true shades of white, but here we do have a range of black tones.  For this guide the shades range from a medium charcoal thru to the darkest black you can find in all finishes.

Each color has its positive attributes; black is a strong color.  It is both sophisticated and has an air of mystery about it.  Most people respond very well to the color black and the people wearing it.  It is respectful to the wearer and the viewer.  Wear black toned clothing when you go out in the evening.  It is the most elegant of colors and is mature and sophisticated.  You will get noticed.  I recommend that you wear it in the evening with your partner and not as a single person.  Black is a good color to wear when you do not want to be approached.  Many members of our society have a need for privacy, the least of all our celebrities.  Body guards and investigators often wear black for this reason.  It is also advisable to have a bit of black in your wardrobe when you are a manager.  Not too much as you want to be approachable but a little will add to the quality of your day.

Unfortunately each color has its negative attributes as well.  Black can make you appear to be power hungry if you wear it in the wrong moods and environments.  It can at the same time seem aloof or even lifeless if you are in the wrong mood.  Avoid wearing black in casual social settings.  You want to be able to talk to your friends and family and have a relaxed and refreshing experience.  Wearing black when fundraising or motivating people is also a bad idea as it is not the most approachable color.  Never wear black to a wedding, it is for funerals.  Politicians and lawyers should limit the amount of black they wear as it can make you seem too involved or even fanatical if you get really excited, or it can make you seem as though you don’t care about what you are saying if you are too mellow.
