Each color has its positive attributes; grey tones are neutral and balanced.  Wearing grey toned clothing can help you to appear neutral when you need to be and they give off a feeling of balance.  You should choose to wear grey tones to a job interview as you will need to project the appearance of a fair and balanced individual.  Wearing grey if you are a mediator of some kind can be very beneficial to your cause of settling disputes.   It is good to wear grey as a lawyer when in non confrontational situations.  Grey is the perfect color to wear when you are speaking to a small group of people or to individuals.  Counselors are the most likely person to need a balanced and mellow effect when doing this but anyone can gain something of wearing grey in these moments.  Most people will find it easier to open up a bit and talk to you when you are wearing clothing in grey tones.

Unfortunately each color has its negative attributes as well.  Grey tones can make a person appear to be boring, and safe.  Grey tones can also project an air of being non committal.  Avoid wearing grey toned clothing when working with kids.  Children respond better to bright color tones, particularly the primary colors.  Grey tones can make you blend in to a crowd or background, so don’t wear them if you need to stand out.  Also do not wear grey if you are trying to motivate people.  Grey tends to have a calm balanced feel to it making it hard to be motivated or get excited when you are viewing it.  Not wearing grey tones when you are intimate with someone applies here for the same reason.
