In 1987, Thomas Edision a brilliant scientist and inventor was born. He was thrown out of school when he was 12 because he was thought to be dumb. He was said to be terrible at mathematics, unable to focus with difficulty in words and speech. It was believed that his learning disability made him unfit for regular schooling; yet in his world everything was possible. He invented the light bulb. He achieved his goals inspite of his limitations

In 1854, Florence nightingale a young British nurse, reformed the hospital system when she volunteered her services during the Crimean war. She tireless worked to save lives with grossly inadequate nursing facilities and primitive sanitary conditions. This led to her establishing the first school of nursing, the nightingale school and home for nurses in London, marking the beginning of a professional education in nursing. She achieved his goals inspite of his limitations

In 1880, Helen Keller at the tender age of one and half years was rendered both blind and deaf through an illness. As at the end of her death at age 88 years later she had acquired a degree summa cum launde (with highest distinction) from Radcliff College. She could speak at least three languages including English and she authored several books including her autobiography. She achieved her goals inspite of his limitations

In 1955,rosa parks who was a teacher and a seamstress, influenced the history of the black race forever when she violated segregation laws in the U.S by refusing to stand up for a white passenger to sit. She believed in something and when on to achieve her goals inspite of limitations

In 1977, Terrance Stanley Fox, commonly known as the marathon of Hope runner, was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer. He developed the idea of the marathon of hope which consisted of a run across Canada to raise money and create awareness for cancer research. He began his run on the 12th of April 1980.on the 28th of June 1981, one month before his 23rd birthday before he could complete the race, he died. His dream was to collect $1 from every Canadian. That dream was soon realized. To date, the terry fox marathon of hoe, which is held in 60 countries around the world with thousands of participants has raised an estimated $250 million for cancer research. He achieved his goals inspite of his incredible limitations

These men and women embraced heir dreams against all odds choosing to fight for what they believed, sometimes even unto the point of death. You can achieve you goals and become great inspite of any limitations you currently face. Believe!
