Romantic Vampire Make Up

This vampire make up application is reminiscent of the 1920’s or Anne Rice styled vampires.  I call it a romantic vampire because it looks so innocent and well romantic to me.  These instructions are very easy to follow as is the application up until the lips.  The lips in this application require a bit of extra work and patience though they are well worth the extra effort.  Most if not all of the supplies can be found in your collection or locally for next to nothing.

For this application you will need:

Moisturizer

Concealer

Foundation

Circular Cosmetic Sponge

Loose Translucent Face Powder

Brow Brush

Dark Grayish Brown Powder Eye Shadow

Eye Shadow Brush

Eye Lash Curler

Black Mascara

Dark Burgundy/Red Lip Pencil

First, prepare your skin with moisturizer.  Apply any concealer or foundation that you may need.  Only use the last two items if is absolutely necessary and try to apply them as lightly as possible.

Next, apply loose translucent face powder to your entire face.  Start in the center of your face and work your way out using a circular cosmetic sponge.

Then, using an eye brow brush, brush your brows up and back.  Now go to the last third to half of your brows and brush them downward.  This will create the illusion of an upward glance.

Now, apply dark grayish brown eye shadow to your eye lids from the lash line to the crease.  Add a bit more shadow to upper inner corner and lower outer corner of eyes.  This will further help create the illusion of an upward glance.

Next, curl your eye lashes and apply one coat of black mascara, then curl your eye lashes again.  Do not use any enhancing types of mascara as they will add too much to the look.

Last, we will create a lip shape that is taken from the beautiful Clara Bow.  You will need to cover the sides of your lips with concealer.  Start at your Cupid’s bow and thin upper and lower lip, thickening the coverage while working towards corners.  You will totally cover the corners of your lips.  Blend this very well with your skin tone and allow it to dry and set completely.  Draw in the bow shape at the lines you have just made for your “new” lips, using a burgundy or dark red lip pencil.  Fill in your lips completely.  Your lips should have a very dark matte color to them.
