Be an authentic gypsy this halloween with this amazing cosmetic application.

I love to see a great gypsy costume when I go out on Halloween.  They are always an object of interest to a great number of people.  This makeup application is rather easy to do and uses common cosmetics you may already have in your collection.  I must add a word of caution because the look calls for very thin eye brows.  If you do not want to tweeze your brows down this far you may seal and cover them and then draw in small lines for eye brows.

For this application you will need:

Moisturizer

Concealer

Sheer Foundation

Translucent Face Powder

Cosmetic Sponge

Black Eye Pencil

Black Crème Eye Shadow

Eye Shadow Brush

Eye Lash Curler

Black Mascara

Dark Red Lip Pencil

Dark Plum Crème Lip Color

Lip Brush

Tweezers

First, tweeze your eye brows to very skinny lines. For the braver of us, also tweeze the last half of brows completely away.  I strongly suggest you do this many hours to a couple of days in advance.  If you are opting to cover your brows do so after the next step.

Next, prepare your skin with moisturizer.  Apply any concealer if necessary.  If you opted to cover your brows do so now.

Then, cover your whole face with an appropriately toned sheer foundation, allow to set completely.  Apply loose translucent face powder to your entire face and maybe onto your neck a bit using a cosmetic sponge.

Now, line your whole eye, along the rims, from corner to corner.  Smudge this into your lash line to start a smoky effect.

Then, we will apply black crème eye shadow.  You will be creating a slanted oval shape around your eye.  The inner eye should be covered from the brow to corner starting as far out as the bridge of the nose.  You will draw downward with your eye shadow brush to just past the outer corner of eye.  You will not cover whole eye from brow to lid.  Start the slant one quarter of an inch inside brow line.  You will continue the shape on your bottom lids and below your eye.  Cover whole bottom lid and a bit under it starting at the inner corner of your eye.  Start your slant upward about mid eye.

Next, apply a bit of loose powder around the crème eye shadow to help seal it and avoid running or slipping.

Now, curl your eye lashes and apply one coat of black mascara to both upper and lower lashes.

Then, line your lips with a dark red lip pencil and fill them in.

Last, apply a dark plum colored crème lip color to lips.  Blot this one and reapply crème lip color.
