The backweaters of Kerala are a unique attraction to tourists. The biggest among these backwaters is the Vembanad lake, with an area of 200 sq km, which opens out into the Arabian Sea at Cochin port. Backwaters, historical structures, culture, wildlife, and natural beauty, the state has all these and more.

The major tourist destinations in the State include Cochin, Munnar, Thekkady, Kumarakom, Alleppy and Kovalam and here is a plan to enjoy a trip to Kerala

Day 1 - Cochin sightseeing

Our representative will receive you at the Cochin International airport and will escort you to the hotel. Feel at leisure till the evening and in the evening you can enjoy a metro village backwater tour which is a non stop cruise during the time of sunset into the inland waterways of Kochi with enrapture view of Paddy Fields, Crab Farms, Prawn Farms, spectacular area of Marine Drive, Chinese Fishing Nets, Bolghatty Island, Willington Island and Kochi Harbour. Overnight stay in Cochin.

Day 2 - Houseboat Stay at Kumarakom

After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Kumarakom, on arrival check into the houseboat. Set out an awesome overnight backwater cruise in traditional Kerala houseboats. While cruising in the houseboat look out for local inhabitants making coir products, rustic homes and swaying coconut trees in Kerala country side.Overnight Stay in the houseboat.

Day 3 - Munnar Trip

After breakfast proceed to Munnar, the beautiful and unspoilt hill station in the Western Ghats popular for honeymoons and plantations of rubber, cardamom, tea and coffee. Day 4 - Munnar Sightseeing

Explore Munnar after breakfast.Munnar means three rivers and the town is located at the confluence of 3 mountain streams - Muthirapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala.Major sightseeing attractions are the Kundale tea plantation, Eravikulam National Park, The High Range Club, Top Station, Mattuppetty, Devikulam, Rajamalai, Chithirapuram, Marayoor, Pallivasal/Pothamedu, etc.Overnight stay in Munnar

Day 5 - Thekkady

After breakfast proceed to Thekkady and check into the resort. Afternoon you can make an optional visit to the famed Periyar wildlife sanctuary and enjoy the cruise on Lake Periyar.During the boat ride spot the wild life (elephants, Indian Gaur, Spotted Deer, Barking Deer, Wild Boar and birds of myraid varieties). Overnight at the resort. Day 6 - Departure After brekafast checkout from the houseboat and proceed to the airport. Shopping on the way. We will drop you back to the airport for the departure.
