How to Color The Hair

Here I am going to show you how to change someone's hair color. In this tutorial we are going to use Adobe Photoshop CS 3. ( Using CS 2 is fine also ) I tried to make it simple, step by step tutorial so everyone could understand it. If you guys like it, I will write more and more tutorials about making planets, adding cool effects to an image, and making cool text. If you like it, let me know :)

First, we open the image we wan't to work on.

Than, we open a new layer. We use the Pen tool to select the hair, than choose a nice foreground color. After that, the hair selected, We do CTRL+Backspace. This way you will paint the hair

Now we change our blending mode to " SOFT LIGTH "

There are some other ways also, which I wan't to explain too:

If the hair default hair color is a ligth one, than this way of coloring the hair can be more effective, but you cannot colar all of the hair effectively.

Take the Brush and use it at the "COLOR" Mode. Set Opacity to 30. If the default hair color is dark, you should keep that at about 85+.

Than you should choose the size of the brush.

Than paint where ever you want.

NOTE: If you cannot use the pen tool effectively, you can just paint it with a brush ( 1st method ) Than Soft Ligth it. This Will work also, but it will not be as good as the one I suggested.
