Nonverbal communication can be done through our facial expressions, through our body postures, our tone of voice, our movements, in the way we breath or even the way we sigh or yawn.
Sometimes non-verbal communication can do more than a verbal communication can. It is sometimes a powerful and important aspect of communication more than what is verbally done.
Often times we attribute feelings and emotions on what we see from facial expressions more particularly from the eyes, or from the the hand or body movements. This factors provides us with a lot of information about the certain feelings of a particular person.
Yet, without verbal communication we can still express our feelings and communicate to the people around.

Facial Expressions
Individuals facial expression is very much important as it is considered as the one of the most important source of nonverbal communication when it comes to an individuals emotional state. It was said that every part of our face can communicate different types of emotional reaction. The eyebrows for example can indicate if an individual is animated, excited or feel happier. The face could indicate embarrassment or anger and the expressions from your nose meant that you don’t like something.

Eye Contact
The eye contact was considered as one of the important aspect of a positive nonverbal communication. The eyes can figure out what an individual meant to express. For example; looking away or shifting your eyes to different locations in an interrogation can be attributed to dishonesty. Some individuals feels scrutinized when you stared at there eyes for the minimum of 5 to 7 seconds. Of course, this is not applicable to anybody and in some circumstances. It does not mean that you are dishonest if you look that way or not all people had some bad feelings if they will be stared for some seconds.
Personal Space
Personal space is the space that an individual felt comfortable in dealing with other people. Personal space varies upon the culture, age and the degree of familiarity. Different people feel more comfortable and communicate verbally or non-verbally depending upon their culture, their age, and the degree of familiarity towards other individual to whom they share communication with.

Body Posture
Body posture also plays a major role in nonverbal communication. for example; if an individual shows cross legs, folded arms and turning his/her body, it might indicate defensiveness and rejection on his/her part. If an individual carry his/her head up and maintain an eye contact, it might indicate an attention to participate to the communication that was non-verbally expressed.
