Who to Start & Bench - RB Rankings - Week 9

1. Maurice Jones-Drew - Jac = KC

After last weeks performance, there is no doubt that Jones-Drew deserves the #1 ranking among RBs this week. A matchup against a Kansas City defense that has given up 131 rushing yards per game this year, should have MJD eyeing 150-200 total yards and 2 touchdowns in this game.

2. Frank Gore - SF = Ten

Maurice Jones-Drew destroyed the Titans defense on the ground last week, and Gore is more than capable of doing the same this week. 150 total yards and 1-2 touchdowns is a very realistic bet.

3. Michael Turner - Atl = Was

Combine Turner with a Redskins run defense that gives up 118 rushing yards per game, and it seems like a no brainer to have Turner starting on your fantasy football team this week. 75-125 rushing yards and 1-2 touchdowns is possible.

4. DeAngelo Williams - Car = @NO

With the Panthers passing game nearly non-existent, a healthy combination of Jonathan Stewart and DeAngelo Williams are proving to be just downright unstoppable for opposing defenses. 100-150 total yards and 1 touchdown is very likely for Williams this week.

5. Chris Johnson - Ten = @SF

After last week’s explosion, it’s hard not to get excited about Johnson. However, he will be facing an extremely tough 49ers run defense this week that has allowed just 84 rushing yards per game this year. Yet even at that, Johnson just doesn’t run like any typical NFL running back, so the 49ers could definitely encounter their share of problems in keep up with this speedster. Maybe the Vince Young x-factor really can open up some holes for Johnson over the remainder of the season. 75-100 rushing yards, 1 touchdown.
