Turkey is so good, why do people save it just for Thanksgiving? It is a good meat that can be used in so many ways. You can eat it for a meal and then take the leftovers to make sandwiches and a great soup. We love turkey, add sage bread dressing to your meal to make it even better.

Things you will need:
  • Whole turkey or turkey breast
  • Roasting pan
  • Aluminum foil
  • Bread crumbs
  • 2 Cups chopped celery
  • 1 large onion
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons sage
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper
  • Olive oil
  • 2 Tablespons  chicken bouillion
  • Turkey broth

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to  325 degrees. To prepare and bake a turkey you will need a roasting pan. There are electric roasting pans and there are blue granite roasting pans or of course the throw away  aluminum foil roasting pan. If I am preparing a large meal I would use my electric roasting pan but for smaller turkeys or turkey breast I use the blue granite one.
  2. For a golden brown bird, rub some olive oil on the breast. Then add black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder  and a little sage. Put a quart of water in the pan to snitch later for your bread dressing.
  3. I like to put aluminum foil over my turkey and the lid to help seal in the flavors. Place the turkey into the preheated oven. Occasionally baste your turkey. Time will vary to the size of the turkey you purchased. Follow the directions on the packaging that your turkey is wrapped in. A 20 pound turkey will take approximately 4 1/2 hours to bake.
  4. While the turkey is baking start your dressing. Take bread of choice, it doesn't have to be fresh bread, and tear it apart and put in your 13 x 9 inch cake pan.
  5. Chop up 2 cups of celery and one large onion and add to the bread crumbs.
  6. Add 2 tablespoons each of sage and chicken bouillion. Add garlic, salt and pepper to taste. Put 3 eggs in the bread crumbs and mix it up.
  7. Now it's time to snitch 4 cups of juices from the turkey. Mix that all up and approxiamtely before the turkey is done put your bread dressing in the oven.
  8. When it's all done enjoy the turkey and sage bread dressing.
