The Britax Evolva 1-2-3 Plus Carseat

Choosing a car seat for your child can be a difficult task.  It is important to balance a lot of concerns.  First and foremost, a good car seat has to be safe and provide protection it involved in any type of car accident.  It also needs to be functional and easy to use, and needs to fit properly in your specific car.  You want a car seat that is comfortable for your child to sit in, and that you like the look of.  It’s important that a car seat is durable and can withstand the demands of daily use by a busy family.  Finally, you need to be able to afford it.

Report on the safest car seats.  According to the website Car Seat Info, the Britax Evolva 1-2-3 is probably the best combination car seat currently available on the market.  It has also been awarded the “best buy” and “best value” awards by Mother & Baby Magazine.  The car seat has been designed to be incredibly safe and to protect your child no matter what type of accident you may be involved in.  It is fairly easy to correctly install.  It has a five point harness with wide, padded shoulder straps that are not only more comfortable for your child, but will also spread the stress of impact—and therefore minimize injuries—if you are in a wreck.  It also clicks when you strap your child in and tighten the straps so that you can tell if they are buckled in safely.  If you want a combined stage car stage that will offer ultimate protection, then this is the car seat to choose.

Although the Britax Evolva 1-2-3 Plus is incredibly safe, it has not been designed simply in the testing lab.  It is also highly functional and has been designed with families in mind.  My favorite feature is the drinks and snacks tray.  There’s one on either side of the car seat, and they can be easily pulled out or stowed away.  They hold cups securely upright or can hold snacks or small toys.  They are easy for children strapped in to reach.  This is a really nice feature.  Other features that increase functionality and ease of use include the machine washable covers, reclining feature (great for drives at naptime), and adjustable headrest (robust enough to keep your kid’s head upright and still while they snooze).  Because it is a combined car seat, it is suitable from children from around nine months until they are twelve years old. The chair adapts with them as they grow, going from a stage one car seat to a booster seat for older children.  It’s really nice just having one car seat that will age with your child.  It means less stress (and expense) for parents, and the children then become attached to their seat.  It fits in most cars, but make sure to check with Britax and have the seat properly fitted to ensure that it is correctly fitted in your vehicle.

The Britax Evolva 1-2-3 Plus is well padded and ergonomically designed so that it is very comfortable.  Children will be comfortable in this car seat whether it’s just for a few minutes or a long drive.  Also, it is an alright looking car seat.  It’s most commonly found in unisex black (it hides most stains and spills), but it is also available in other colours, including the “Candy Hearts” pink design.  It is also durable, and will last for the whole time your child needs it.

Finally, the Britax Evolva 1-2-3 Plus car seat is surprisingly affordable.  It usually retails for about £150, but you can often find them on offer cheaper or use store discounts or deals.  We bought ours at Babies’R’Us for only £80.  When you consider how safe this car seat is, and how long it will last for, it is definitely a good investment.
