How to Recreate Natural Search Engine Optimization

Natural search engine optimization is simply dumb luck. You wrote an article or started a web site, it shot up to position one in the search engines and the traffic went through the roof. Logically, you want to do it again. The following steps will give you the tools you need to analyze your article or web site for natural search engine optimization so that you can recreate it.

Step 1

Go to Google Adwords Free Keyword Tool. Adwords is a site that is primarily for analyzing keywords for purposes of ad placement, but it provides statistical data on traffic keyword searches as well.

Step 2

Select the option that says “Website Content.: Put in the URL of your article and hit “Get keyword ideas” button. This will provide you a list of keywords, sorted by relevance which will be analyzed in further steps in order to identify what exactly worked for that page.

Step 3

Take note of the first ten keywords and their associated search volumes and competitions. The search volume is based on one month of data. The competition has to do with how many advertisers are bidding on that keyword. That isn’t so important for natural search engine optimization analysis, but it does give some insight. In general if there is low competition, then there will be low traffic, but in some instances you will see low competition and high traffic. If this is the case, that means there will not be a lot of people writing on the subject so it should be easy to get to the top of the search engines.

Step 4

Sort the list by traffic. It is possible that a less concentrated keyword on your site is bringing your article up in the search engines. You might try making a new site which targets keywords following a similar trend as these ones.

Step 5

Go to Google search and search for various keywords from the list. If your article comes up, look at the text below it. This will give you a good idea of what the search engine likes about your article.

Step 6

Take all this data and recreate as closely as possible each and every trend. This will mean doing lots of keyword research as well as traffic research.

Tips & Warnings

If you are getting lots of traffic, especially due to natural search engine optimization, make sure the site is monetized with contextual ads which target valuable keywords to make sure you are making the most money possible.
