How to Do Web Site Management and Marketing

Website management and marketing is the process of organizing your site content in a fashion that is friendly for various marketing systems including advertising and search engine optimization. There is web site management software which can assist in this, but it is important to understand the process in order to get the quality and quantity of traffic you need to your site. The following article will discuss how to do web site management and marketing.

Step 1

If you need it, get some web site management software. These are programs that will show you the way to link your website together to make it search engine friendly and to interlink you site so that it appears congruent to the search engines and increases reputability. Be sure to research many different pieces of web site management software prior to making a purchase.

Step 2

Set up landing pages for advertisements. Advertisement landing pages are different than the landing pages for the search engines because the people clicking over know they are about to be offered a product or service. The ad must be set up in a way that it intrigues a certain type of customer to click on it. The landing page cannot just be the home page of you site though. It has to be a continuation of that ad. Whatever need caused that person to click the ad must be fulfilled on the landing page.

Step 3

Optimize your website for the search engines. This can be done in many different ways, but the important thing is that your website be search engine friendly. The pages of the site need to have a ‘body text’ even if you are just selling a product. There should also be a heading and an intro text. All of these things are web standards which search engines look for on pages, so they are unlikely to score the page as high if this information does not exist. The most important thing about the pages is that they are all keyworded in order to target someone who is searching for a specific term. The resources section below offers two resources, one for learning how to keyword an article and the other is a valuable tool for researching search trends.
