Road trip from Sydney to Queensland Part 2

This is the second part of the article Road trip from Sydney to Brisbane….

Second day trip:

Continue driving from Coffs Harbour to Byron Bay, it takes about 3 hours and 30 minutes drive and 241kms north. Along the Pacific Highway, you can see brown signage specifically for tourists. These are some places you can stop for awhile, have some breakfast and enjoy the sight.  There are also lots of fast foods like Mc Donald’s, KFC, petrol station and groceries stores along the way.

Byron Bay has many breathtaking beaches; most of the beaches are safe for children. This place is recommended for families with children. You can take your kids to the Australia Zoo and experience the cuddly koala, naughty wombat, baby crocs and colorful birds. They have a Kids world where you can let your children baby sit for a short time while you’re exploring the coast kayaking or boat hiring. There is a 2000 square meter living lattice maze which you can enjoy with your children.

Third day trip:

From Byron Bay, continue driving north to Gold Coast. The distance would be around 90 kilometers. Gold coast is one of the best Australian destinations for tourist. It offers luxurious beaches that reach 52 kilometers of golden surfing beaches. Hundreds of accommodations you can choose in Gold Coast. There are some famous beaches like Palm Beach, Surfer’s Paradise, Coolangotta beach, Noosa beach and many more to choose from. Gold coast is well-known not only for its great beaches but also its adventure parks like Movieworld, Seawold and Dreamworld which is good for family experience and Jupiter casino for those who love gambling. You have a lot of choices for your itineraries, from eating out in affordable restaurants, relaxing and pampering at spa, romantic dinner and cruise, picnic at the parks, watching the sunset in a flying balloon, varieties of shopping centre and night party at the pubs and bars.

Gold coast or “Goldy” is just 75 kilometers and 1 hour from Brisbane. Many things to do while you’re in Brisbane; one would be having a bike ride or roller blade in the City Botanic Garden. If you’re one of those adventurous type, Rock climb and the Kangaroo Point Cliff, climb the Story Bridge for stunning 360 degrees view, travel down the Brisbane River in a golden gondola. Visit the Queensland museum and see the skeleton of a dinosaur. Watch the cuddly koalas and kangaroos at the wildlife parks. There is a man-made lagoon at South Bank in CBD where your kids can have a swim and have fun in the beach.

There are still lots of things to do in Brisbane but it only depends on how long you’ll going to stay there, so before travelling, better plan your trip well and don’t forget to reserve for an accommodation. In going back to Sydney, visit some of those places that you haven’t visited along the way…
