Things You'll Need:
  • 28 ounce box of instant rice
  • 32 ounce bottle of ketchup
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup iodized salt
  • 2 ounces flavoring of your choice
  • whisk or stirring spoon
  • bucket with lid
  1. Step 1 add ingredients to bucket

First, get your bucket and add the ingredients in the following steps.

  2. Step 2 add 32 ounces ketchup

Pour in 32 ounce bottle of ketchup.

  3. Step 3 add 1 cup salt

Add 1 cup of iodized salt.

  4. Step 4 add 1 cup powdered sugar

Add 1 cup of powdered sugar.

  5. Step 5 add 2 ounces of flavoring

Add 2 ounces of your choice of flavoring. You can use 2 ounces of any bottled flavoring, a box of flavored jell-o, or 2-3 packets of any flavor kool aid for this. I prefer the bottled flavoring.

  6. Step 6 stir and mix liquid well

Once you have added the ingredients above to the bucket, take a whisk or stirring spoon and stir well.

  7. Step 7 pour in instant rice and stir well

Next, pour in the 28 ounce box of instant rice and stir and mix it well, making sure all of the rice covered.

  8. Step 8 put lid on bucket and let set 24 hours

After you have stirred the rice in with the liquid and it is all mixed well, put the lid on the bucket and seal.

This bait needs to be made at least 24 hours before you intend to use it but it will keep for weeks and it will catch carp. Enjoy!
