When it comes to grilled steak, there is nothing better than to marinade them.

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 1/2 C Salad Oil
  • 3/4 C Soy Sauce
  • 1/4 Worchestershire Sauce
  • 2 T Dry Mustard
  • 1 T Fresh Ground Pepper
  • 1/3 C Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 C Wine Vinegar
  • 1 1/2 t Parsley
  • 2 Garlic Cloves

Some cuts such as flank steak, london broil and round steak can be quite chewy if grilled as they are. Just add a little touch of magic and voila...a perfect steak. Of all the recipes I have used for marinade steaks, I like this one best. It brings out the flavor of the steak but you still have a steak taste.

When buying your steak, think about how many people you are going to feed with this steak. If there are only 2-3 people you may want to buy an individual steak for each. If so then get a porterhouse or t-bone or whatever your family loves. If you are buying for a crowd, you may want to consider a flank steak or london broil. You can make these steaks go very far, stretched cheaply on a tight budget.

Put all ingredients into a quart sized zip locked bag. Close the top and mix well

Place steak/steaks into bag and flip over and over till the marinade is coated on all sides. Place bag in refrigerator and marinade for 1 hour or longer. I like to marinade mine about 3 hours. Turn bag over every half hour.

I also use this same marinade on chicken. Works very well and gives the chicken great flavor. You can also marinade a roast.

When preparing meat to serve, slice thinly on a diagonal to the cut surface of the meat. Arrange slices nicely on a platter with garnishes.

  • Do not reuse marinade. Throw it away after taking meat out to cook

OMG! This was the best. I let my steaks soak up this delicious marinade for about 3 or 4 hours. The only disappointing thing about it was I had spent money on steak sauce and NOBODY used it. They didn't need to. The steaks were perfect and had just the right flavor! I will absolutely use this again.
