Have lower triglycerides and keep them there for good.

In my own life I had a problem with higher than normal triglycerides. I did some research and tried some natural things and "WOW" did I get surprised. My one reading was about 390 which is considered high and an area of concern my doctor said. The steps below explain what I did to lower my triglycerides.

First things first. I stopped smoking cold turkey. I know, I know, it's hard to do, but I did it. You can to. Just make up your mind why you are going to quit and focus on that. Another thing to do is to print out an article from the American Heart Association which explains with text and pictures what happens to the body when you smoke and how long you smoke. It also gives you the benefits of quitting also. Boy are they impressive. Let alone the money you will save is reason enough to quit. I started spending the money on things I wanted and not on cigarette's.

Then I started working out a little bit, about 20 minutes a day 2-3 times a week. I lost 10 lbs. Less weight, less fat, lower triglycerides.

I started drinking water. I drink 1/2 my body weight in ounces of water a day. I know it sounds like a lot but you can do it and now all I want is water to drink. The water helps to flush toxins out of the body.

I started taking omega 3 fatty acids in the amounts of 1,800 mg' s a day. The bottle recommends more but I was testing out what I had learned through research. I bought the kind with the highest levels of EPA and DHA which is what omega 3 fatty acids are. We do not get enough of this in our normal diet.

I stopped drinking alcohol ( in my case beer ). It adds to much sugar to your blood and could lead to diabetes.

I did this for about 6 months and went to the doctor and got my level checked. It came back 110 which is in normal range. My doctor asked me what I had done so I explained and she said do not stop that this was fantastic. All I can say is it worked for me. I hope it works for you.

  • Always consult your doctor before starting any new treatment.

  • This will thin your blood so ask your doctor if it's ok.

  • Get checked often to check this out for yourself, everyone is different.
