Dress Like a Pro Shopper

To be a pro, you have to think of dressing rooms as your enemy and be prepared for the worst! You have to wonder why stores cram shoppers into such tiny spaces. Nothing turns me off shopping in a department store faster.

I know that it is easy to head off to a mall and try on everything you want, in any size you want, but stores really need to re-think their dressingrooms if they want to make it easy for us.  They are absolutely horrible! Here are a few my best tips to make it easier for you... until the stores get around to it.

If I'm going to use one of the dressing rooms, they really need to be clean and then I still won't stand barefoot on the floor. I usually tuck  a pair of socks into my handbag to slip on if I'm in sandals. It just creeps me out to stand on carpet that doesn't belong to me.

I might be a bit vain here, but give me lighting that doesn't make me look washed out... especially when I'm trying on a bathing suit. I have enough to depress me in that area without the lights making me look sickly in the bargain!

Mirrors... what were they thinking when they took the mirrors out of the change rooms and put them out in the store. Personally, I want to have some idea what I look like before I go out where everyone can see me!

Enough hooks... that's another area that stores could do witn a bit more thinking. I need one hook for my purse and the clothes I'm taking off. One hook for the items that I'm trying on, one for items that are a possibility and one more for clothes that definitely don't fit. Is that too much to ask for?

I'm sure that there are zillions of other complaints, but the ones I mentioned above are the ones that annoy me the most. Feel free to add yours to the list. :)
