New officers for you!

The deckhand, master deckhand and Writ of Protection will help keep your decks at Seafight shipshape!

Yo-ho-ho Pirates,

The last few weeks frequently brought us unusually rough seas and stormy weather. Now the heavens have cleared up and given us time to work undisturbed and hire on some new officers in safe harbors. "Ahoy, Captain", yells someone to you from the market cove, "be ye' lookin' fer a mate to take o'er repairin' the decks fer ye'?". At about the same time, ye notice a small workshop at the edge of the market cove with the sign "Ye Olde Master Deckhand" above the door.

As captain, it’s now up fer ye to recruit new officers fer yer crew! Startin' on Tuesday, September 1, 2009, ye’ll find the deckhand in the hideout and the master deckhand in the market cove. Hire these brave souls and both of them will repair yer decks at different times.

And don't ye forget to use the Writ of Protection in the Cauldron of Aruba: It’ll guarantee ye 24 hours of protection for your ship's decks!

To add both of the new officers to the game there’ll be a small downtime for ca. 25-30 minutes on all servers. This will take place in the morning of September 1, 2009 between 8:00am and 8:30am. Please consider this when making plans to play the game.

Deckhand:

Repairs normal decks after 22 ship sinkings and elite decks after 43 ship sinkings; but only when there are enough pearls on board! Life span: 14 days Costs: 20.000 gold. He still needs 250 pearls repair/ship deck. You can buy him in the hideaway.

Master deckhand

Repairs normal decks after 30 ship sinkings and elite decks after 60 ship sinkings; but only when there are enough pearls on board! Life span: 14 days Costs: 5.000 pearls. He still needs 250 pearls repair/ship deck. You can buy him in the market cove.

Writ of Protection:

The shipwright's Writ of Protection will guarantee that your decks are left completely unscathed for an entire 24 hours. Any damage to them will be repaired immediately. There won't be used any pearls for repair. You'll get the Writ of Protection only in the Cauldron of Aruba. You can colllect more than one Writ of Protection which you'll be able to see at the Shipyard -> To the shipyard -> Extra. The Writ of Protection works from the moment you collect him or prolong the runtime about 24 hours.

In addition to the Writ of Protection you will also find since now Healing Ammunition in the Cauldron of Aruba. You also find now the new deckhand in the hideaway and the new master deckhand in the market cove.

Dear Pirates,

Unfortunatly there seem to be a mistake in the cauldron of aruba with jokers and writs of protection.

The writs of protection does not double when using a joker.

We will fix this mistake as soon as possible and are sorry for any inconveniences caused.
