GOD! Who is He or what is He or why He is or how is He or where is He? These are the questions we ask ourselves at least once in our life time and spend our whole life finding the answer. Lets try to define GOD, and see what we get.

GOD! Who is He or what is He or why He is or how is He or where is He? These are the questions we ask ourselves at least once in our life time and spend our whole life finding the answer. I met an elderly person while traveling in train. Observing that I was reading a religious book he smiled and said, “You look to be very young to read such a book”. After sometime of interaction he said “So young men interested in theology tell me how to define GOD”. I kept quite and threw the question back to him through my eyes. “Well I can say only one thing after all reading and experience in life that GOD is Generator Organizer and Destroyer” he replied with very seriousness

That was his definition for GOD, and for most of us, it is true and we strongly believe in it. But not only now, right from the beginning of human kind question of defining GOD has troubled humans.

Same question was asked 1400 years ago to Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) the last messenger of One God. People of Mecca were very eager and curious to know answer to the question. As Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) was the last messenger and Holy Quran was the last and the final revelation from GOD, the definition has to be so strong and perfect, that none can be able to prove it wrong. Hence the answer came from God in chapter 112 of Holy Quran stating to all human kind

Say, He is God the One and Only

God, the Eternal, Absolute;

He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;

And there none like unto Him.

 1400 years have passed and many thousands years will pass but none will be able to prove this acid test definition of GOD to be wrong. Please express your views on definition of God according to you or according to your faith.

God and Religion , according to all available sources is a man made institution, that came into existence solely with the purpose of regulating human behavior, but, over a period of time it has become such a menace to mankind....strictly my views for what it is worth :)
