How to convert downloaded torrent movies and put them onto discs to watch anywhere.

So now that you know how to download movies and television shows ( FROM MY OTHER ARTICLE ), I am going to show you how convert them and put them onto discs to watch anywhere. To do this we only need one program that can do both. This program is called “ConvertXtoDVD”. You can download this program HERE. Yes, it is a torrent download that you can download through uTorrent or whatever program you use for torrents. There is a lot of programs you can use for this but I find this is the easiest to use, especially if you are new to this. If you find another program you would like to know more about or learn how to use email me and I will try to make time to write a post about it and teach you as much about it as i can.

Okay so lets get the converting started. Once ConvertXtoDVD is finished downloading, install it, run the keygen and register it. Once you have done, open the program and it should look something like this.

Alright, now click the green and white + in the top right corner. Go to where your movie is saved and select the .avi file. When you have selected the movie that you want to upload it should show in the Tree View and look like this.

Then click the big convert button at the bottom left corner and your movie will start converting. Once it is done a small window will pop up asking what you want to do, insert a disc into your drive and click Burn, and your movie will now burn to a disc. Once the burning process is done your computer will eject the disc, if it doesn’t just open it and take it out. You can now watch your movie in any computer, X-Box, or DVD/Bluray player.

The conversion quality you see in the bottom left corner of the ConvertXtoDVD program tells you how good whatever you are converting will look and sound. If you have to many things on this list, therefor having a longer time of conversion, the quality will go down. Once it gets high enough it will say “Low Quality – Reduce total time of project”. If you want the quality of the video to be high ( which most people do ) then do not add to much to this list. Also, on the right side of the program there is a toolbar with several things on it. The last one is a little television and it enables/disables the video preview. You can watch your video as it converts to see if there is anything wrong with it or you can disable it. There is also a Settings option where you can change many options. I will write another post about changing some of these options another day, but they are good at the defaults and you can leave them there. While your video is converting you can click on Action at the top and then Minimize to tray icon so it is out of the way while it converts.

BEWARE: When the movie is done converting and also when it is done burning the program has a voice come on and tell you that it is done. If you are listening to music or watching something on the computer it can be very loud. Just thought I would warn you.

And that is how you convert a movie and burn it to a disc, very simple process.
