SMA LF (Lactose Free formula) - Suitable from birth

It is a specially tailored formula for the dietary management of lactose intolerance and is suitable as the sole source of nutrition for babies under 6 months with proven lactose intolerance.  It is also easy to digest and well-tolerated and kind to babies’ tummies and kidneys

IMPORTANT NOTICE: This product must be used under medical supervision. SMA LF is a lactose free milk based formula for the dietary management of babies and young children who are intolerant to lactose or sucrose, or who are suffering from symptoms such as diarrhoea, tummy ache or wind caused by temporary lactose intolerance.  It is suitable as the sole source of nutrition for babies up to 6 months of age, and in conjunction with solid food, for babies and young children up to 18 months of age. Professional advice must be followed on the need for and proper use of formulae and on all matters of infant feeding. SMA LF is not suitable for those who are allergic to cows’ milk protein, or who suffer from galactosaemia or require a galactose free diet.

SMA Wysoy  - Suitable from Birth.

It is a specially tailored formula for babies and young children who are intolerant to cows’ milk protein and is suitable as the sole source of nutrition up to 6 months and then in the place of cows’ milk as part of a healthy balanced diet. It is also recommended that you use this instead of milk in recipes from 6 months onwards.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:  You should always seek the advice of a doctor, midwife, health visitor, public health nurse, dietician or pharmacist on the need for and proper method of use of infant formulae and on all matters of infant feeding. Social and financial implications should be considered when selecting a method of infant feeding. Infant formulae should always be prepared and used as directed. Inappropriate foods or feeding methods, or improper use of infant formula, may present a health hazard. Soya infant formulae are intended to meet the nutritional needs of babies and children who are intolerant to cows’ milk protein, lactose or sucrose. Soya infant formulae are not recommended for preterm babies or those with kidney problems, where medical guidance should always be sought.

SMA Staydown Infant Milk  - Suitable from Birth

It is a specially tailored formula for babies with significant reflux (regurgitation) and for babies who bring back their feeds and it is suitable as the sole source of nutrition from birth to 6 months and it thickens in tummy not in bottle due to the fact it contains natural corn (maize) starch which helps the feed to settle more easily. And unlike other formulas, SMA Staydown should be made up with chilled water that has been previously boiled.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: You should always seek the advice of a doctor, midwife, health visitor, public health nurse, dietician or pharmacist on the need for and proper method of use of infant milks and on all matters of infant feeding. Social and financial implications should be considered when selecting a method of infant feeding. Infant milk should always be prepared and used as directed. Inappropriate foods or feeding methods, or improper use of infant formula, may present a health hazard. Anti-reflux infant formulae are intended for formula fed babies when significant reflux (regurgitation) is a problem. If the baby’s reflux does not improve within 2 weeks of starting an anti-reflux formula, or if the baby fails to thrive, the family doctor should be consulted.

SMA High Energy - Suitable from birth to 18 months

It is a specially tailored formula for infants and young children with medically identified increased energy and nutrient requirements, such as faltering growth. It is suitable as the sole source of nutrition from birth to 6 months and contains mega's 3 and 6 which help brain and eye development.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: This product must be used under medical supervision. SMA High Energy is a milk based formula for the dietary management of babies and young children with medically determined high energy requirements as identified by a doctor or dietitian. It is suitable as the sole source of nutrition for babies up to 6 months of age, and in conjunction with solid food, for babies and young children up to 18 months of age. Professional advice must be followed on the need for, and proper use of formulae and on all matters of infant feeding. SMA High Energy is not intended for use with preterm babies, for whom fortified breast milk or a low birthweight formula such as SMA Gold Prem 1 is more appropriate.

SMA Breast Milk Fortifier - A nutritional supplement to be added to expressed breast milk

Early arrivals have nutritional needs that are not always met by breast milk alone and whilst experts agree breast milk is best, it may not always meet the increased nutritional needs of all low birthweight/preterm infants.

This is a specially tailored supplement for low birthweight and preterm babies, and it contains essential vitamins and minerals to help supplement breast milk.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: This product must be used under medical supervision. SMA Breast Milk Fortifier is a nutritional supplement designed to be added to expressed breast milk for feeding preterm and low birthweight babies.

SMA Gold Prem 1

It is a nutritionally complete whey dominant formula designed for the particular nutritional requirements of preterm and low birthweight bottle-fed babies. Whic contains Omega's 3 and 6 to help promote brain and eye development. It also contains protein levels that promote catch up growth, has a calcium to phosphorus ratio that encourages bone mineralisation, and is specially formulated to help support their immature body systems.

SMA Gold Prem 2 Catch-up Formula

It is a specially tailored formula for preterm and low birthweight babies up to 6 months it is complete with higher energy, protein, vitamins and minerals compared to typical infant milks. And contains Omega's 3 and 6 to help promote brain and eye development.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: This product must be used under medical supervision. SMA Gold Prem 2 catch-up formula is a special formula for preterm and low birthweight babies who are not solely fed breast milk. It is a nutritionally complete formula for use on discharge from hospital or when a low birthweight formula is no longer appropriate. It is suitable for use as the sole source of nutrition for babies up to 6 months. Professional advice must be followed on the need for and proper method of use of SMA Gold Prem 2 and on all matters of infant feeding.
