Easy and delicious hot cocoa recipes to make at home.
Hot cocoa is a staple during the winter months. Well, if it is not I am of the opinion it should be.
Nothing like a cup of this brew to lift the spirit, warm the body and place a smile on a pretty face.
Hot cocoa is part of the language of love as it spans cultures and ages. Indeed, hot cocoa knows no boundaries, no cultures, no sexes, no skin color and no ages. It is the drink of family gatherings, winter get togethers, romantic evenings by the fire place, Christmas caroling and Christmas parties.
It is also the drink of the reading lover, aka bookworm,…curled up on a comfortable couch or chair, a quilt to keep warm, a pillow for the back, don’t forget a good book, the crackling of a fire and a cup of warm cocoa on a near by table.
You might like your cocoa plain, with marshmallows or whipped cream, maybe a candy cane or a few chocolate kisses. Whatever! You can tailor your cup to suit your needs and your personality. Haaa!
Now when it comes to hot cocoa, you can just go to the grocery store and buy the “Swiss Miss” of the shelves….if that suits you, then no problem…enjoy!
However, if you want a gourmet cup of delicious chocolaty cocoa then you might want to consider making your own. And if that seems too time consuming, then you can even make your own mix! Now, there are no excuses not to enjoy this winter wonderland brew…is there? Heck…turn the AC on full blast and make a cup in the middle of July!
